LSAT Test Preparation Instructor

Position:

Oxford Seminars is searching for dynamic law students and recent graduates, who have proven their mastery of the LSAT, to deliver effective weekend test preparation courses on a part-time basis. Our ideal candidates are excited to help others succeed and are eager to impart their own experiences and knowledge of the LSAT through engaging classroom discussions.

To minimize your preparation time, we provide an established curriculum, weekend training and all teaching materials. You can typically expect to teach four to eight weekends a year, plus additional one-on-one tutoring opportunities are available based on your schedule.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, instruct and administer weekend courses;
  • Engage students of all ability levels in a stimulating learning environment;
  • Expose students to a variety of strategies and questions including:
    • Working strategically under strictly timed conditions;
    • Learning to recognize wrong answer types;
    • Drawing proper inferences and deductions;
    • Critical reading of passages;
    • Effective problem solving;
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Major Qualifications:

  • Excellent LSAT score (98th percentile or higher);
  • University graduate and currently enrolled in or recently graduated from law school;
  • Excellent score on the Analytical Reasoning section of the LSAT;
  • Energetic, professional and an ability to motivate others;
  • Prior teaching / tutoring experience;
  • Mature and dynamic personality;
  • Available to work weekends.

Wage:

  • $50 per hour
