Part-Time GRE Test Preparation Instructor

Oxford Seminars is currently recruiting ambitious and enthusiastic individuals to deliver weekend GRE test preparation courses.
The ideal candidate enjoys teaching, sharing and presenting information in a way that helps others improve their own understanding of the GRE. Our students are looking for a dynamic instructor who can engage, motivate and guide them to GRE success. Instructors can typically expect to teach four to six weekends a year, plus additional one-on-one tutoring opportunities are available. We provide new instructors with training, a comprehensive curriculum and resource materials to minimize preparation time.
Expectations:
- Deliver an established curriculum in a confident and interactive manner to enhance students' mastery of the GRE and enrich their learning experience
- Facilitate the learning environment by fostering dynamic class discussions
- Expose students to a variety of strategies and questions including:
- Effective Problem Solving
- Learning to recognize wrong answer types
- Quantitative Reasoning: Quantitative Comparisons, Problem Solving, Data Interpretation
- Verbal Analysis: Reading Comprehension, Sentence Completion, Sentence Equivalence
- Working strategically under strictly timed conditions
- Analytical Writing Analysis: Analysis of an Issue, Analysis of an Argument
- Expose students to a variety of strategies and questions including:
- Provide guidance to students by sharing GRE experiences
Requirements:
- GRE Score in the 98th percentile or higher with an excellent score on the Quantitative Reasoning section
- Current acceptance to, enrolment in, or recent graduate of a graduate program
- Prior teaching/tutoring experience
- Mature, motivational and professional disposition
- Ability to relate to students on a personal level
- Available to teach on weekends
Wage:
- $50 per Hour
